CONFERENCES

Consules contributes to creating awareness regarding relevant topics for Italy and the International Community.
We organize conferences, seminars and workshops with the purpose of enhancing the comprehension of the role that Italy and the European Union play in the international scenario.
Our events bring experts and institutional representatives together with civil society, especially young people. According to the needs of our partners, we develop specific events, defining together the topics that will be addressed, the desired target audience and the dissemination of results.

If you are interested in developing an event for your organization, please contact us, we will be pleased to talk about it.

Below is the presentation of the Cycle of meetings on Italian Foreign Policy (CIPEI), which is a congress format organized at an institutional level on an annual basis.

CIPEI

Cycle of meetings on Italian Foreign Policy

The program, organized by Consules and by Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), consists of a series of meetings taking place in different Italian cities and addressing the different action profiles undertaken by Italy in its foreign policy.

The program is sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education, University and Research and by the (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.

Italy participates globally as a political actor, as an economic and commercial operator and is a protagonist from a cultural point of view. Italy abroad isn’t represented only by its institutions (diplomatic service, government representatives, ministries and local authorities), but also by businessmen and companies that work internationally. We cannot talk about foreign policy only when referring to political and diplomatic activity. We thus have to think about new tools that will allow us explain the complex presence and activity of Italy in the international sphere.

consules

History of the program

In 2013 Consules and Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) tested an innovative seminar format aimed at students of the main Italian universities. These seminars focused on the main topics Italy faces in the international setting. Each university hosted a seminar that focused on a specific area in Italy’s international action. Experts from the two institutes and from the host universities developed the topic through informal debate, and speeches from attending students were very welcome.
After the success of the first edition, the two institutes created a vaster program with the aim of having more attending students and allowing them to interact with the main representatives of different sectors who take care of promoting Italy’s image and interests abroad.
